Sensex slipped 349 points at 17,895 and NSE Nifty was down 96 points at 5,021.

Markets have further slipped ion to deep red as bears have tighten their grip on over the bourses. Weak start in the equity markets across Europe proved to be another sentiment dampener. Among the 30-scrip of Sensex only Hindalco is trading in green, rest al the other components are in red.

At 3:00 pm (IST), the BSE 30-share Sensex slipped 349 points at 17,895 and NSE Nifty was down 96 points at 5,021.

Infosys has edged lower by 0.2% to Rs1867. Reports stated that the company hired consultant to chalk out revamp plan. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs1899 and a low of Rs1855 and has recorded volumes of over 10,00,000 shares on NSE.

Lanco Infra has slipped by 6% to Rs542. The company said that it secured US$150mn IFC credit for power projects. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs578 and a low of Rs542 and has recorded volumes of over 15,00,000 shares on NSE.

Areva T&D has slipped by 3.2% to Rs1580. The company on Wednesday announced that they would invest Rs7bn into three greenfield manufacturing units in India. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs1648 and a low of Rs1570 and has recorded volumes of over 8,000v shares on NSE.

Dabur Pharma is trading flat at Rs73. Reports have stated that they have secured FDA nod for prostrate cancer drug. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs73.40 and a low of Rs73 and has recorded volumes of over 23,000 shares on NSE.

Satyam Computers has marginally slipped by 0.5% to Rs491. According to reports, GE Healthcare along with Satyam would support customers deploying healthcare IT solutions based on GE Centricity enterprise software. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs500 and a low of Rs472 and has recorded volumes of over 18,00,000 shares on NSE.

Unity Infra has edged higher by half a percent to Rs533 after the company said that they bagged an order worth Rs3.8bn from Haryana State Roads. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs548 and a low of Rs521 and has recorded volumes of over 63,000 shares on NSE.
